Seasons greetings and happy holidays, one and all. We hope you have a very enjoyable and properly festive time, even with the current uncertainties, over the coming days.

As usual we're posting our Christmas greeting with a favourite Christmas video. For a long time it was that one by Bing Crosby and David Bowie, a meeting of the generations even more unlikely than Ed and Sir Elton. More recently, we've opted for other well-loved classics, and this year it's one of those big ones from the '80s. It also happens to have a pretty bonkers video...

So enjoy The Pretenders' 2000 Miles, from 1983, with Chrissie Hynde as a Salvation Army officer surrounded by stuffed animals in a fake snowstorm, with bandmates who appear to have randomly picked stuff from the wardrobe department, and slowly becoming waxworks. Or something.

I mean, there is no way of knowing what is going on, really...

Peace On Earth!
