Claire Boucher (aka Grimes) and tourmate HANA have released an impressive seven music videos between them this week, collected here as the 40-minute film The AC!D Reign Chronicles.

The seven videos, shot over a two-week period whilst on tour in Europe are all shot with a minimal crew, and a phone. Utilising Boucher's distinctive aesthetic, as well as some incredible locations around Europe, these performance videos manage to remain distinct from one another, whilst still have a cohesive overall vision.

"This summer I brought by brother Mac and my best friend Hana on tour and we shot a bunch of music videos," Boucher has explained in a statement released on Twitter. "The seven videos were shot over a two week period throughout Europe during the AC!D REIGN tour. They are guerilla style vids, a la realiti [sic]. So there was no crew, makeup, cameras, lights. Just us and a phone, so maybe don't expect anything too fancy. That said, we're really proud of what we made."

The project became a testament to seizing an opportunity. "Initially we set out only to shoot something for WP2, but we felt done after a couple of days so we kept shooting in between shows, on days off and started shooting vids for Hana too," Boucher writes. "Aristophanes also played some shows with us, so we were able to shoot SCREAM. Linda and Alyson who dance in the show, also appear in the videos."
