No Monster Club 'La La Land' by Ged Murray

Ged Murray's very funny and charming promo for Dubliners No Monster Club sees Chance the dog go on his travels around Dublin and 'California', singing along to the band's very catchy La La Land.

Ged Murray's very funny and charming promo for Dubliners No Monster Club sees Chance the dog go on his travels around Dublin and 'California', singing along to the band's very catchy La La Land. "The idea was to make the piece as happy as possible," explains Ged. "Since seeing a dog with it's head out the window of a car always cheers me up I thought that image would be a great one to base a music video around for such an upbeat song. "The band really got on board and we were able to have a lot of fun without a lot of money. The shoot involved mostly filming on the fly around Dublin in a knackered blue Fiesta and filming our star, a three legged dog aptly named 'Chance', against an improvised green screen atop a block of flats." It was shot on the Canon 5D, composited in After Effects and edited in Final Cut Pro, and Ged says, "hopefully the end result helps spread some serotonin around." It certainly does that. Its had a great reaction in the Irish press and blogs, with Hotpress (Ireland's equivalent of NME) going so far as to call it their "favourite Irish music video in years". And surely destined to be a viral smash...
