George Belfield's video for Arthur Beatrice's Real Life continues the naturalistic flavour of Late, his previous video for the artist. But this one runs counter to the usual downbeat subject matter associated with realism, and gives double meaning to the songtitle. The video captures often-overlooked moments of pleasure in ordinary life - a young man and his girlfriend looking forward to the birth of their child, being with friends and family. Then there's the new real life the couple are creating. And eventually there's a subtle suggestion of the supernatural.
