Olivia Dean 'Growth' by Nwaka Okparaeke
Nwaka Okparaeke directs an alluring live promo for Olivia Dean's Growth, where the artist performs her EP in its entirety.
Backdropped by stunning custom-made sets, Dean is at home in the sunsoaked, nostalgic concept.
Incorporating natural elements with elevated structures and decor, each frame of the visual is entirely absorbing, and provides the perfect visual match to the sumptuous pop soundscapes - and the reference to the climactic scene of The Truman Show is wonderfully executed.
"Working with Olivia on this video felt like the perfect match. We both genuinely connected to the ever-changing journey of emotions within growing," says Okparaeke.
"For Growth, I wanted to create a live performance video that looks delicate and beautiful but takes us on a rollercoaster of worlds, reflecting how the songs go back and forth from assured to sombre, vulnerable to optimistic."
