Willie XO ft Dappy 'Good Times' by Caroline Hajny
Caroline Hajny directs Willie XO and Dappy in her breezy promo for Good Times.
Shot within a Southend arcade, the artists perform in front of the bright lights and vibrant graphics in the venue, intermittently trying out different games and having a laugh throughout.
"First of all, I’m absolutely buzzing to have joined the deadbeat family and be working with Marisa Garner Associates.
"Good Times was the very first brief that came through, so you can imagine my excitement when we won the pitch. I wanted to create a lighthearted and fun visual so started to think about things you would have absolutely loved to do as a child but were never really able to.
I had been to Southend a few months earlier and was absolutely fascinated by the whole layout of the seafront, a seemingly derelict amusement park and just all these arcades lined up right by the beach. It’s such a British thing and for someone who’s not from here I couldn’t help but think that I would have loved nothing more than to spend an entire night just having one of those arcades to myself with my friends when I was younger.
"The location itself gave us so much to work with, Willie X.O and Dappy were both super lovely to work with and so many moments in the video are just them genuinely having fun in the arcade!
"The team was absolutely amazing on this one and we’ve got so much more waiting in the pipeline!"
