Louis Bhose directs his second video for Maisie Peters, the fun-filled promo for Psycho. 

Following his video for John Hughes Movie a few months ago - and his stint as a guest on The Promonews Podcast a few weeks back - Bhose presents a twisting narrative punctuated by a handful of Maisie clones, amping up the surreal vibes of his previous collaboration with the artist. 

As always, (the real) Peters is mesmerising in her performance, and her willingness to take a chance on an abstract vision pays off hugely, in one of her most exciting and engaging videos to date.

We built it over a frenzied Whatsapp convo from Maisie's initial idea.

"Fresh off her record being announced, Maisie was once again heavily involved in all stages of the video. What a joy to be able to get instant sign-off on a location, a key prop, a daft joke.

"We built the idea over a frenzied Whatsapp convo from Maisie's initial idea - 'lots of me, swap in and out and make a guy go crazy' - and the idea is essentially an extended version of that.

"We open on Maisie's fictional boyfriend - physically present, mentally absent - as he phone surfs and philanders, before Maisie gets her revenge in a rather elaborate and extended way. Was great working out all the details with MP herself, and feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to have some real fun with it.

"I feel fortunate - as ever - to work with an incredible team, but have to shout out the hard work from Luci Ellis, Kate O'Shea and Elizabeth Rita, tasked with replicating Maisie 14 times with only a few days prep. If you're ever curious about the quality, appearance, or tong-ability of all the wigs available on the market, I now have the answers. Sia, you know where I am (yikes on the movie tho)."
