Awa ft JB Scofield 'Feelings' by Will Hooper
Will Hooper presents a quickfire tapestry of chaotic performance setups, in his promo for Awa's Feelings.
Intercutting a mix of contemporary and lo-fi aesthetics, the video charges forward with a sense of no-nonsense, unabashed energy.
The performances from both Awa and Scofield are top-notch, and DoPs Jaime Ackroyd and Stefan Yap (who shared shooting responsibilities across the two-day shoot) create a strikingly vibrant world which fits together seamlessly.
"The symbols of the Wizard of Oz-style floating house, the storm, the roses and the planet Venus cut against Awa’s performance, representing the chaotic energy that is synonymous with love," explains Will Hooper - who i nominated for Best New Director at this week's UKMVAs.
"Feelings of uncertainty and turbulence sparring with desire and ecstasy - it’s that tumble dryer of emotions that makes up the fabric of this video."
