Apre 'Without Your Love' by Mila Austin
Mila Austin directs an intimate promo for Apre, inspired by Magritte's 1928 painting The Lovers.
The video for Without Your Love explores a romantic situation in which the couple - played by Finetta Mikolajska and Jaih Betote - focussing on division and obstacles. They are shown trying to connect, but getting repeatedly blocked by outside forces.
Austin - who has built a relationship with the band by working on their stills and video content - uses quirky props and styling to further the narrative, paying homage to the awkwardness and drama seen in the iconic painting.
And in a progression from her previous work with the band, this also features a strongly symmetrical performance set-up of the alt-pop duo.
