Yllwshrk 'Smudge' by Max R Lincoln
Max R Lincoln explores lockdown anxieties in his increasingly tense video for Yllwshrk.
Created in the depths of lockdown, Lincoln's video for Smudge - the first single from the band's debut EP I Am Alladin - explores six different characters who are surviving the pandemic in their own unique way. These include a drag queen who performs to keep a sense of normality, a bodybuilder who is getting more and more obsessive, and a gamer who is trying to shut out the outside world.
Lo-fi yet executed very well, it's a format we have seen a lot of over the last few months, but this comes with a perspective and level of suspense to elevate it to the next level.
