Yxng Bane 'Table For Two' by KLVDR

KLVDR explores typical lockdown routines in the video for Yxng Bane's Table For Two.Â
Starring Zeze Millz as Bane's love interest, the split-screen concepts visualises the two halves of a relationship (quite literally), as the pair go about their day. Cooking, talking, sharing a meal over Facetime, the visual represents a reality of many couples in the current situation, who live apart but yearn to spend as much time as possible together.Â
Shot in a stripped-back fashion, the authentic feel of the video is a break from the dancing challenge, user-generated concepts that have flooded our feeds, and tells a simple story that is very universal and relatable to those under lockdown in the UK, and further afield.Â
KLVDR:
Our aim was to make something very simple but real.
"Making a video can be a really difficult thing to do around these times but I do think it pushes us to create things that we wouldn't normally do! Working with Bane and his team is always an organic thing for me. Our aim was to make something very simple but real.
"The video was shot on two different days in two different apartments, two people no lighting. An insight to a 'normal' quarantine day that you'd typically spend with your distant significant other through FaceTime.
"It was a great experience. Sometimes it is good to strip back all the noise to create something with nothing."
