Barns Courtney gets an endoscopy in a surreal doctors practice, in the video for Hollow directed by Mathy & Fran. As the doctor uses a thin camera to search inside Courtney’s body, a 404 warning appears on-screen (a nod to the album title) and no organs can be found.

That is until Courtney and his band appear, performing the song and jumping around the pitch black space. The doctor is alarmed, but she has just the medicine for it. From then on, things get weirder and weirder, until Courtney breaks through and rejects the doctor’s orders, turning the practice into his new performing space.

The surrealism and colour palettes are reminiscent of Gondry, and Mathy & Fran show that they have complete control over their signature style, perfectly balancing colour and texture to great effect. This one is a trip, and not to be missed.
