Pearl City 'Down By The Tree' by GRANDMAS
The Mancunian writing/directing team GRANDMAS' video for Manchester two-piece Pearl City features a stunning central performance, by performance artist/choreographer (and Chorley native) Tom Heyes.
Heyes' portrayal of a young man struggling with his demons begins with his fearsome appearance, but becomes something more interesting than a exhibition of macho aggression. As he moves fluidly around a normal working men's club, it's a bizarre but compelling spectacle - and an allegory for a troubled mind in crisis.
