Lights 'We Were Here' by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux
The fifth in a series of narrative music videos for Canadian pop singer-songwriter Lights Poxleitner-Bokan's concept album Skin&Earth – which are themselves companion pieces to a graphic novel series, written and illustrated by Lights herself – is a tale of revenge and hell-hath-no-fury, directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux.
“From the minute I wrote We Were Here I couldn't wait to draw that part of the comic,” Lights has said. “And from the minute I drew that chapter, I couldn't wait to make the video. This is a song about owning the time we have on Earth, and the video captures that whole vibe perfectly.”
