Joel Kefali makes the most of James Murphy's distinctive thinking-man's take on dance music in the video for LCD Soundsystem's tonite.

This is a performance that looks like it was shot for a late night German TV show in the early 80s, with the band on a rotating pedestal surrounded by lights. But Murphy roams freely, with his mic attached to a mobile recorder, addressing the camera directly and encapsulating the conversational, almost stream of consciousness style that he brings to his lyrics.
