Melbourne-based director Danny Cohen takes Kirin J Callinan to Cuba for the performance of a lifetime.

It's as simple a concept as they come: give the star a microphone and film them performing their song. But what Cohen and Callinan manage to do here is bizarrely captivating. For a start, the mic is golden, the location is Cuba and the costumes are outrageous. That should be enough indication that you're in for a visual treat, but then, of course, Callinan ups the ante by giving a performance to peculiar and extroverted that you just have to pay attention. An opportunistic run-and-gun shoot is elevated thanks to such a gleefully fun presence.
