In some ways, Beck has been making this kind of music video ever since he turned up on MTV with Loser, all those years ago. Like quite a few of Beck's previous videos, Wow is wonderfully random. The difference here is that director Grady Hall and Beck also celebrate the talents of other emerging visual artists.

Randy Cano, Colby Richardson, Jess Rona and John McLaughlin are among the artists, photographers and directors, who have their work featured here. In this way it is something of an Instagram generation version of Weezer's Pork And Beans, the video that celebrated YouTube memes way back in 2008, produced by Hall's old outfit Motion Theory.
