Daniel Gomes has brought us back to the early disco era in this video for Glee singer Alex Newell and DJ Cassidy's song Kill The Lights, with a treatment that is all about dancing and having fun under the bright lights of a club. Complete with a disco ball, a matching dance trio and a fiercy performance by Newell, the video provides a fitting accompaniment to a groovy track.

"DJ Cassidy called, wanting to work together again on his new video for his track Kill The Lights with singer Alex Newell of Glee and with the legendary Nile Rodgers. The single is featured in HBO’s VINYL and HBO wanted us to use footage from the show in the video.

"Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter wanted us to reference the early 1970s, when the disco scene was still void of the common day disco tropes. I drew inspiration from a Sylvester video and allowed the slightly messy '70s dance routine to play in a wide master, mimicking the style of the early video aesthetic, but with a more modern lighting scheme to create a fun, stylish world that fits the energy of VINYL."
