Jack Garratt 'Chemical' by Tom Clarkson
David Knight - 3rd Mar 2015
Tom Clarkson's video for Jack Garratt's Chemical is a story of teenage obsession, about a girl whose devotion to her favourite pop star is so great, some magical things start happening. At least in her own imagination.
Things get quite steamy, as the girl (Chloe Hannaford) conjures up her teen idol (Levi Matthews) and turns her bedroom into a love nest. But the less exciting reality keeps nudging back into view...  Â

TOM CLARKSON:
"I’ve known Jack for a long time now and I’m a huge fan of his work.  His musical brain is this harmonious mess of nostalgia and inspiration that blend together to create something new and Chemical was, to me, a great testament to that.  I really wanted to reflect that in the video…It finds its messy blend between youthful innocence and aggressive passion…which is where you would place this sort of pubescent obsession I suppose.
"We were lucky to have an incredible team working on this to bring it to life.  It was an exciting, collaborative project that everyone who helped out played a huge part in developing and I am so grateful for everyone’s support."
