Bright Light Bright Light ‘Moves’ by Paul Frankl

Promo News - 31st May 2013

“When I first heard the track I was instantly drawn to the darker aspects of the song” says Paul Frankl about his promo for Moves by Bright Bright Light – aka Londoner Rod Thomas. “Despite it being a pop/dance track, the lyrics are centred around moving on and loss, which alludes to a sadder tale. I wanted to bring this out with the video, using high contrast, and dream-like blue and gold lighting.

When the pair begin to swap places, the sleeping boy appearing in the mirror and the dancer taking the boys place in the bedroom, I wanted to highlight the feeling of being entwined with another person. When you lose someone, all that is left is your own projection of them and your memories, which is essentially just a part of yourself. “The video was shot in two days painless and enjoyable days in London, with the help of a great crew”.
