RuN RiOT ft Doll 'Upon Your Enemy' by Dan Shipton

Jimmy Brown - 12th Mar 2013

Centred around singer Hannah's excellent performance - who gets subjected to some pretty gruesome make-up from SFX artist Laura Odette Pip - Dan Shipton delivers a powerful horror story in his promo for RuN RiOT's Upon Your Enemy.

<p/> Centred around singer Hannah's excellent performance - who gets subjected to some pretty gruesome make-up from SFX artist Laura Odette Pip - Dan Shipton delivers a powerful horror story in his promo for RuN RiOT's Upon Your Enemy. "I wanted to create a video that stood out from the crowd in the world of urban music" explains Dan. "I never thought the label would go with the idea when I pitched to them but next thing I knew we were stood in a disused catholic school in Hackney covered in blood and animal guts. "I haven't worked with a strong female vocalist for a while and wanted to go to town with giving Hannah a really strong character that she could use to power her way through the video. I even managed to persuade Tom Young, the DJ, to make a cameo as one of the dictators. "The question I get asked by most people is "was that chick's face really that messed up"... when they ask that I know we've done something right... or at least I know that Laura, our make up and SFX artist has done her job right!" http://www.youtube.com/watchv=_hQN9uUJpsw
