David Knight - 11th Dec 2012

It started with Midnight City, then continued with Reunion. Now here's the concluding part of Fleur and Manu's epic kids-with-superpowers trilogy for M83 - for Wait. And things don't exactly get wrapped up neatly in this one.

At first we're in the aftermath of the confrontation at the climax of Reunion with the leading telekinetic girl, then we're in outer space with her boy adversary, and a sequence which isn't so much influenced by Kubrick's 2001, as an exact reconstruction (before he becomes the Boy Who Fell To Earth...)

But this project was always about creating eyepopping blockbuster movie moments – and this is arguably the most satisfying of the lot.
