Neil Young and Crazy Horse 'God Save The Queen' by Shakey Pictures

David Knight - 4th June 2012

Very very long has she reigned over us - and at last Neil Young and Crazy Horse have at last come up with a version of God Save The Queen (the actual one) you can actually listen to - which then segues into the patriotic American song with the same tune and different lyrics, My Country Tis Of Thee... And here's a rather good video, featuring brilliant use of stock footage where Elizabeth's coronation in 1953 is rendered actually quite interesting.

Quite timely, but not exactly unadorned Jubilee flag waving either, as ancient British regal ritual is contrasted with scenes of proud American hard graft. Ultimately it comes down to what's best: Monarchy or Liberty Good question. Neil Young and Crazy Horse
God Save The Queen
Prod co: Shakey Films http://www.youtube.com/watchv=y-nPsrX05Rk
