Blacklisters 'Trickfuck' by Matt Green (NSFW)

David Knight - 11th May 2012

Booze can make you do all sorts of things, but nothing makes you do it quicker, more devastatingly than Trick Fuck Lager Booze...

Booze can make you do all sorts of things, but nothing makes you do it quicker, more devastatingly than Trick Fuck Lager Booze... Matt Green's video for the extreme metal thrash that is Blacklisters' Trickfuck is a low-budget, high-concept cartoon-like pisstake of the lifestyle promises of alcoholic beverage advertising - featuring a bikini-babe and two bodybuilders transformed into zombie-like sexy beasts as a result of slurping the black, treacly stuff... "The main problem we had was finding a woman who was willing to wear a bikini and suck off a banana," says Matt. "In fact, we didn't have anyone sorted until the morning of the shoot. It got to the point where Finn (our DOP) was considering buying a wig and dressing up as a woman! Fortunately, Owen's (the bassist in the band) girlfriend agreed to do it and saved the day. She had a good sense of humour and realised the context of what she'd be doing. I think it helped that Owen played the BBQ character as well. "The second problem was getting two body builders to kiss. Again, we were blessed with good fortune and acquired Sam Cullingworth and his training partner to play the roles. Sam had just come off a vista print commercial and for some reason, agreed to do the whole thing for free and also managed to drag his training partner along with him. He provided great on-set banter and was a pleasure to work with. <br/>"The third problem was making this video for just a couple hundred of pounds. We managed to get a space for free and hired Rachel Barker as art department, who did a sterling job. It was a gamble, as I'd never worked with Rachel and she hadn't been in charge of art department before but I had an inkling she'd be right for the job. "Rachel is definitely one of the hardest working and best art department crew I've worked with. She made a treacle and black-food-colouring-vomit-mix for the cast to drink and spit out. She then made a separate soap-flake and water mixture for the gunge. We used sugar glass for the bottles smashing and got Matt Reid to design a fake beer logo. Rachel did an amazing job, especially considering she only had about £50 for all the props and costumes. "The crew, band and extras were terrific. Everyone chipped in and worked really well together. It turned out to be a brilliant day and everything went exactly to plan, which was more than welcome. It was never going to be a masterpiece and it was a tiny budget but it is without doubt, the most enjoyable shoot I've worked on. The only down side was that I had to spend two days cleaning up the black vomit which had stained the studio floor. Oh well, all for the love I guess..." http://www.youtube.com/watchfeature=player_embedded&amp;v=wh0IJDb3KBY
