OK Go 'All Is Not Lost' by OK Go, Pilobulous, Trish Sie

David Knight - 1st Aug 2011

After the dance, the treadmills, the marching band, the Rube Goldberg Machine, the goose, and the dogs... OK Go just take things a step further with All Is Not Lost.

After the dance, the treadmills, the marching band, the Rube Goldberg Machine, the goose, and the dogs... OK Go just take things a step further with All Is Not Lost. Back with choreographer Trish Sie, they also collaborate with heavy-hitting modern dance company Pilobulous - and also, taking a leaf out of Chris Milk's book with <em>The Wilderness Downtown</em> and <em>3 Dreams Of Black</em>, this is also a Google Chrome Experiment. With customary ingenious choreography, ingeniously shot - through a clear floor - the four members of OK Go and members of Pilobulous make shapes and eventually, spell out words. But that's clever HTML5 code in the full interactive version turns it into a multi-window experience and means the viewer can manipulate what the dancers 'write'. Even if it never reach the popularity of dogs or treadmills (and who knows, it might) it's another landmark.
