'Extremities' by Eli Stonberg (music: Blackbird Blackbird 'Pure')

David Knight - 23rd June 2011

Eli Stonberg created the wonderful 'interactive colouring book' video for Au Revoir Simone a few months ago - one of the more satisfying interactive vids of the past year. Now his new skateboard video Extremities - with Blackbird Blackbird's Pure on the soundtrack - is similarly groundbreaking in its particular genre.

Eli filmed skater Aryeh Kraus with six tiny cameras attached to his body and three more cameras filming from afar, so you get to watch all of the skating from several perspectives simultaneously. It was also shot in a rainy LA, even though you're not supposed to skate in the wet, and its not supposed to rain in California.
