To Kill A King’s Cold Skin by Jack King
David Knight - 5th July 2010
Enigmatic, visually striking and utterly absorbing, this is a very impressive piece by Jack King for unsigned band To Kill A King (no relation), casting a bunch of kids and frightening-looking big blokes and marshalling them into a bout of cathartic violence.
"The video is about facing your nightmares, in a nutshell, which was my interpretation of the song - which is about a hypothetical atomic bomb," says Jack, who shot it with local kids in and around Holme Wood and Frizinghall in West Yorkshire.
And he shot in some good locations - like the inside of a huge cooling tower.
