Feist’s Honey Honey by Anthony Seck

David Knight - 8th Jan 2009

Here's another fine piece of work from the latter part of last year - and the video from Leslie Feist's The Reminder not directed by Patrick Daughters.

Here's another fine piece of work from the latter part of last year - and the video from Leslie Feist's The Reminder not directed by Patrick Daughters. His other contribution has been to develop a mini-film with Judd Palmer of the Old Trout Puppet Workshop - the puppet makers in Calgary where Leslie Feist herself used to work. The crafting of the puppet characters - an old woman, her whaling husband and the sea-creature he encounters - and the settings took months. That meticulous skill and effort has resulted in something special. "Brendan Steacy [the DoP], Judd and Pete Balkwill of the Old Trouts, all really deserve the credit for refining the puppet world," Anthony told a Toronto newspaper. "We all wanted the movement and the world to have weight, with close ups, shallow depth of field, and a sense that they were people size, not six inches tall... We were going for a sense of mood and realism within the fantasy." http://uk.youtube.com/watchv=-rWpHqEtKn8[/youtube]
