Dirty Pretty Things’ Tired Of England by Joe + Rollo
David Knight - 1st July 2008
In their thoroughly impressive video for Dirty Pretty Things, INTRO's new directing team Joe White and Rollo Wenlock have hit upon a particular aspect of Englishness which strikes exactly the right post-Glastonbury note.

While the DPTs play (in Shoreditch Town Hall) the medieval hippies have come to cavort around the hot, mid-summer city - bringing their ribbons, and their burning wicker giant with them. Good work. So in my post-Glasto euphoria (actually it ended in Yeovil District Hospital for me, it's a long story) it's all rather lovely.
