Thomas James directs a beautifully twisted and sublimely surreal exploration of&nbsp;inner demons coming&nbsp;to life, in his promo for Bring Me The Horizon's Strangers.In a nondescript industrial space, a host of characters undergo Cronenberg-style body horror transformations, intercut with a suitably haunting performance from the band.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Bodies twist, contort and conjoin in a horrific yet eerily beautiful way, balancing a nightmarish aesthetic with hyper-intimate, bravura cinematography by Adam Barnett.James draws on a host of influences - including&nbsp;a special nod to Chris Cunningham and Aphex Twin's Rubber Johnny - but adds his own facility for narrative and sense of humanity to the outstanding VFX work. Simon Lane directs an ethereal dance-based promo for singer-songwriter&nbsp;Sandrayati Fay.The video is simple in concept - expressing a New Dawn, delicately expressed through movement - yet the tender cinematography by Jake Gabbay, shooting on 16mm, and Lane's considered direction ensure this is an absorbing piece of work.&nbsp;Everything from the art direction to the choreography is inspired by Sandrayati's connection to home, which creates an intimate connection and another layer to the emotional compexity of the project.&nbsp;

Charlie Robins directs a mesmerising one-shot promo for Eliza.&nbsp;The video for Straight Talker takes place against a desolate industrial backdrop, with eerie, atmospheric cinematography and a spellbinding performance at its core.&nbsp;The progression from fluid movement to a primal, strobe-lit explosion of dance is inspired, and the camera team - especially DoP&nbsp;Jaime Ackroyd and steadicam op Beau Pritchard-James - deserve a special mention for pulling this one off as smoothly&nbsp;as they have.&nbsp;

Wendy Morgan summons high art and street dance to capture the allure of Brussels-based Congolese artist Lous, for her El Guincho-produced debut Dilemme.Focusing on formations and composition, we see Lous and her backup artists in a variety of different settings, creating&nbsp;the same shapes and choreography in each one. Juxtaposing high fashion historical concepts, complete with palacial interiors and true to era wardrobe, with the raw energy of the street, the clash of ideas is a whirlwind of fashion and beautiful cinematography&nbsp;by Joel Honeywell.&nbsp;Lous does great work as she maintains a subdued yet emotional performance, and the frenetic and experimental energy of the Yakuza provides a balance to the action. The makeup and hair are suitably anachronistic, blending ideas from older time periods with futuristic fantasy, and the maximalist approach really pays off here. A marvellous&nbsp;introduction to an intriguing new artist.
