Graham Michael Roberts directs a time-bending promo for The Flitz.&nbsp;It's New Years Eve 1995, and an effervescent party scene plays out as we follow a character run out of the house, noticeably upset. And that's where the time travel fun begins.&nbsp;Absorbingly vibrant and engaging, it's a fun narrative with plenty to see.&nbsp;"Time travel was my most ambitious idea yet, especially when it's all intertwined," the director says.&nbsp;"In time travel terms, the events of this night were always going to play out the same. She doesn't go back in time and change things, therefore I needed everything to weave together correctly right from the beginning. If you look closely you can see she actually knocks into herself right at the start of the video (something you'd only understand on a second watch)."It was so fun to do, and our main actresses (twins Mel &amp; Lucy) were just incredible.&nbsp;I really didn't want to use camera trickery / vfx on this to have the same people in the room, I wanted it to be real!"

The fact they have taken a risk on a concept that is not overly sanitised or mainstream makes this a standout.

Elderbrook's cinematic track Broken Mirror&nbsp;becomes the vehicle for an authentic story, showcasing the issues facing many Queer people in 2021, helmed by director/photographer&nbsp;Jordan Rossi in collaboration with&nbsp; multi-disciplinary artist and creator Darkwah.Rossi's film follows a day in the life of a Queer performer played by Darkwah, and the reality of their experience, including the aggressions and microaggressions that impact personal safety and mental health.&nbsp;Together with a gut-wrenching sequence where Darkwah is cornered by a homophobic mob, there is also a focus upon the&nbsp;little stuff - small acts where their personal space is invaded, whether its being stared at and photographed in a cornershop, having their hair touched, or being touched inappropriately - that really resonates.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Darwah delivers a charismatic performance which allows moments of happiness, as well as ranges of pain and anguish, and ultimately shows a strength of character, in a spoken-word sequence towards the end, which displays their inner resolve and dignity. Rossi brings this all together superbly well, in a video which features terrific cinematography from DoP Charlie Knight.On the project Darkwah has said:&nbsp;“As soon as I saw the treatment, I knew I wanted to be a part of this project," says Darkwah.&nbsp;"It’s all of the things I’ve experienced many times over. It’s so important that aggressions and micro-aggressions are spoken about outside of the LGBTQIA+ community. We know these things. We experience them - sometimes at the hands of those in our community but more so by those outside of it."Having these occurrences shown at this level in conjunction with an artist like Elderbrook, I hope will not only generate more conversation but result in change for the better as people check the ways in which they interact with performers, Queer performers and Queer people. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of this project. A steamy affair begins...DRUST's skilled direction of the sex and drug-fuelled narrative, and his excellent lead actors, sets the tone for the climax&nbsp;of the video, when&nbsp;the young man confronts the doctor and her partner. By this point, anything&nbsp;is possible and something unexpected certainly happens.[imgtoken data:1]"The starting point for the Omen video was to explore the theme of ‘doomed relationships’ and witness the nuanced moments where things take a wrong turn," explains Tristan Hefele, aka DRUST."Bringing emotion to the forefront of the viewers’ experience was key to the storytelling and a big part of the reason why the track was so great to work on."David was a fantastic artist to engage with because of his openness to the collaborative effort of the whole piece. Early on we decided that the images shouldn’t feel like they’d just been tacked onto the track, but that there should be a reciprocal process, where the pictures enhance the music and vice versa. The feeling of both being fully bedded together was of primary importance to us."

Chris Fowles directs a powerful one-shot video for up-and-coming London-based artist Gigi Moss.Set on an underground train, the film uses in-camera tricks to transition between a fully packed train and a totally stark and isolating space, representing the lilting highs and lows of the music.&nbsp;It’s an interesting spin on the themes of the track, which explores a bittersweet story of being trapped somewhere you’re uncomfortable, and how easy it can be&nbsp;to return to a toxic situation.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Marti Guiver balances a sense of realism and gloomy fantasy in the cinematography, with coloured lights and a tinted green aesthetic, representing the unease and conflict the artist is feeling.“The song struck a real chord with me when I first heard it," says Chris Fowles. "Gigi was quite keen for the narrative of the video to be contemporary and a new spin on her feelings behind the track. Her management gave us total creative freedom which was amazing. We didn’t have much time or budget, but I think we managed to pull it off."&nbsp;
