Sekou Abineri presents a thrilling portrait of Athens in his promo for Marina Satti.&nbsp;Blending traditional Greek culture with&nbsp;modern-day youth culture in the city, the video for&nbsp;Spirto Ke Venzini is a fast-paced, intoxicating ride with vibrant cinematography and inventive sound design.&nbsp;"For the video, we wanted to look at the Ancient Greek custom of Klidonas," says Abineri. "This is a ritual that takes place at the end of June and involves the single girls from a village placing good luck charms into a pot."The charms are later removed as other villager’s prophecies as to whom the girls are going to marry. At night a bonfire is lit and people jump over it as an act of purification and revival."&nbsp;

Julien Soulier, Luc Van Haver, Coralie Barbier and Paul Van Haver - aka Stromae -&nbsp;join forces to create a striking one-shot promo for the Belgian superstar's latest release L'enfer.&nbsp;Starting with an extreme close-up of Stromae's eye, the video pulls out to reveal the artist in the middle of a boundless&nbsp;studio setting.&nbsp;The track is delivered in a neutral fashion during the verses, but when the chorus comes crashing in, Van Haver jumps into action, intermittently glitching and cavorting around the space unabashedly.&nbsp;

Global direct a new&nbsp;video for Squeezie, one of France's biggest YouTubers, and simultaneously introduce his debut album.&nbsp;The visual for Servis immerses us into the atmosphere of a bustling nightclub (remember those?) where all of the vices of a night out amalgamate into one.&nbsp;Focusing on a shy guy who goes clubbing for the first time (before losing control of himself and getting kicked out of the venue), DoP&nbsp;Ludovic Zuili incorporates POV, Snorricam, Technocrane and Ronin shots, building a hyperactive aesthetic that mirrors the overwhelming emotions of nightlife in the city.&nbsp;

The golden era of hip-hop is celebrated in Romain Cieutat's video for veteran French beatmakers La Fine Equipe, from the perspective of a teenager in the Nineties.&nbsp;The dynamic camera movement (via a robotic arm)&nbsp;explores a teenager's bedroom - complete with South Park plush toys, Polaroid photos pinned to the wall and those plastic&nbsp;glow-in-the-dark stars we all had stuck to our ceilings back in the day...&nbsp;We cycle through various events in the same location - including a party, hanging out with best friends and spending time alone contemplating - all transitions seamlessly executed&nbsp;thanks to the motion-control&nbsp;camera. Editor&nbsp;Terence Nury&nbsp;also balances&nbsp;the often-breakneck pace of the robotic arm with lingering wide shots of the cast, to ensure the detail isn't lost in movement.&nbsp;A surreal moment in the bridge adds an overwhelmingly nostalgic element to the visual, echoing the cacophony of colour and rudimentary graphic design that is so representative of the decade. Excellently crafted and shot, it's a genius concept with strong performances to match.&nbsp;

Alice Kong explores a man's surreal addiction in her&nbsp;video for Pointless.&nbsp;In the world of this visual, Kong sublimates the rose flower into an addictive and&nbsp;dangerous new currency - and featured artist Ichon decides to bypass the rules and grow his own roses.Mimicking the stages of drug trafficking, we see him order&nbsp;the seeds, install&nbsp;artificial neon lights, grow the product, pick and prick the roses in order to create a stock sufficient to afford the escort girl he wants. The appearance of the much desired woman in return for the commodity highlights the detached and impersonal nature of this parallel universe.The video is reminiscent of fashion film,&nbsp;with a colourful and euphoric colour palette and lingering conceptual shots, underpinned by a transcendent performance from Ichon and his female co-star.&nbsp;ALICE KONG:"When I met the artists (Dune &amp; Crayon), they told me that the title of their album Hundred Fifty Roses&nbsp;refers to the currency on escort sites which is expressed in roses. 1 euro = 1 rose. This touch of surrealist romanticism inspired me immediately and made me want to transpose it literally in this music video.The music video tells the story of an isolated character, played by Ichon, who falls on a pop up of an escort girl who will fascinate him. On escort sites, the currency is expressed in roses, a way of hiding the fact that this is a paid affection. I wanted to tell the story of this young man who decides to grow roses all over his apartment in order to collect enough to meet the girl. The rose appears magnified, radiant, hypnotic, like any vice that attracts."When they meet, they live a mystical experience where the rose becomes a drug. It is the next day that the last two shots suggest that Ichon falls addicted to his plantation, more than to the girl. So in this music video, I placed the rose, an iconic symbol of romanticism, as a metaphor for vices: it multiplies, obsesses and creates a vicious circle."JAMES COOTE (DOP):"Alice's references explored both the real and the surreal, the insertion of everyday elements into a fantastic universe. It was interesting to work visually, both on this boundary and the connections between these two worlds. This film is my third collaboration with Crayon, an artist whose very cinematographic music lends itself to interesting visuals, and is part of Alice's plastic work.&nbsp; &nbsp;"In this project, beyond the fictional approach, I tried to create paintings of Ichon's life with sensitive camera movements that evolve with the rhythm of the song. Also, depth of field was an important axis: the character had to be isolated in his environment and the spectator close to him, which led us to use short focal lengths with a large aperture."

Ethan Graham recreates the renowned Chancellor Seguier painting in the context of modern views on immigration in the video for Le Grand Remplacement.&nbsp;On horseback with his shoulders covered in a cape, Younès performs to camera whilst several of his friends surround him in period costume, holding large parasols. Theatrical and dramatic, the cast turn to repeat certain phrases to the artist, before snapping back into their positions.&nbsp;The Grand Replacement theory, the inspiration for the name of the track, is something much darker- a conspiracy that the white race and "Western" civilisation are being diluted by non-white immigration and low birth rates. Younès calls out and mocks this theory, as the visual slowly reveals a modern society trapped within this surreal space.The video takes place within the setting of a canvas – nestled in a grand space that embodies the feeling and aesthetic of regal Paris in the late 1800s.  The artist removes himself from the concept to confront believers of this theory, represented by two elderly men viewing the art- their expressions are nervous and guilty, as they realise that their racism and misplaced ideals no longer have a place in modern day France.&nbsp;The video has proved controversial, stirring a small section of far-right viewers on YouTube - the conversation is obviously working, and is an important one to continue having.&nbsp;

Roseaux 'I Am Going Home' by Allie Avital

Two protagonists face a huge challenge under the desert sun:&nbsp;a free and courageous horse and a young gold prospector, consumed by his quest, in James F. Coton&#39;s video for Kery James.The video mesmierises with its stunning shots of the&nbsp;lone pair travelling through the desert, beautifully silhouetted against the natural landscapes&nbsp;of rocks and sky. But&nbsp;the hypnotic &#39;frame within frame&#39; edits throughout cage&nbsp;the prospector,&nbsp;symbolizing the consequences of the sole&nbsp;obsession&nbsp;of finding&nbsp;gold.This is a first collaboration with the director&nbsp;Coton and Berlinian cinematographer Maximilian Pittner, and they have made a video for the song Sans Moi&nbsp;to match the intensity of music and text.
