BUG 47 - all the videos

Cat Velez - 16th June 2015

The latest and 47th all-new BUG show - and the one to set BUG going into its ninth year of operation – had great videos, great guests, and had Adam Buxton wondering why the YouTube community had taken against Michel Gondry's video for Chemical Brothers' Go.

As always there were many great videos on show, starting with Hook N Sling’s Break Yourself by young directing talent Nelson de Castro and Carlos Lopez Estrada, followed by Shynola's new video for Hot Chip - and then Michel's Chemicals.

The music video lineup continued with pins-and-rubber thread tour de force for Son Lux, dark, gritty animation for Run The Jewels, the surprising appearance of Bob Dylan starring in a '40s film noir, and a video by French animator behemoth Sylvain Chomet for Belgian house-music superstar Stromae. Some highly inventive and quirky videos included the unsettling yet gorgeous vision for Fur Voice's Fantasia by Spanish director Pablo Maestres and Norwegian director André Chocron's Instagram-sized video for Cold Mailman’s Something You Do.

And for the first performance of BUG 47 at the BFI Southbank, Adam Buxton also welcomed Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling – aka Becky and Joe (above, with Adam) – for an on-stage chat to talk about their work and career - in particular the cult phenomenon that is their online series Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
