The UK Music Video Awards, the leading global awards programme for music video creativity and craft, has launched its 16th annual event today - and is now open for entries.

The UKMVAs has opened its doors today (June 14th) for the UK Music Video Awards 2023, with the premier awards show for music video production now accepting entries for work accomplished in the UK and around the world in music video and related areas during the past year on its website, in 36 separate categories.

And the launch of UKMVAs 2023 marks the 15th anniversary of the launch of the very first UKMVAs, back in 2008.

Entrants can submit their work via the official website at www.ukmva.com, from now until the entry deadline on August 2nd 2023. Details of how to submit can be found on the Entry Info page of the website.

Work entered at the awards must have been completed between August 1st 2022 and July 31st 2023, and can be entered in a range of categories covering directorial achievement by music genre, technical and craft achievement, live video, and special projects, while there are also awards for individual achievement in several different fields of endeavour.

The awards programme will culminate in a celebration of world-beating visual work on Thursday 26th October when the UK Music Video Awards will return to Magazine London on the River Thames in the Greenwich Peninsula for a second time, following the successful presentation of the UKMVAs 2022 ceremony at the venue last year.

Submissions should be made until the entry deadline at midnight, August 2nd 2023 (BST). Entry criteria for each category is on the UKMVAs website. The categories are:

Since its inception in 2008, the UKMVAs has grown into the most important annual event in the calendar for the world of music video production.
