Leading international VFX and grading studio Electric Theatre Collective has become the latest partner of this year's UK Music Video Awards, sponsoring the award for Best Director - one of the biggest awards at the UKMVAs - for the third time.

This will be the third year in succession that Electric Theatre Collective has sponsored the Best Director award, always one of the most prestigious and coveted awards at the UKMVAs.

The announcement of the partnership with the UKMVAs follows the extension of the deadline for entries to this year's awards, to next Tuesday, 9th August. Entry is now open to the Best Director award, together with 36 other categories covering technical achievement, video by music genre, and individual and company categories, via the UK Music Video Awards website.

The full range of categories can be found at the UKMVA website, and entries to the awards are now being accepted on the website here and here. The final deadline for entries is on Tuesday, 9th August at midnight (BST).

That will be followed by two rounds of judging in most categories, with an announcement of nominations in late September. And the UK Music Video Awards ceremony will take place for the first time at Magazine London, near the O2 Arena in London, on Thursday, October 27th 2022.
