The Promonews Podcast is back, with something a bit different. In this episode, for the first time the Podcast takes a dip into Music Video History, with one of the dons of music video direction - Andy Morahan.

Thirty years ago, Andy was working with Guns N’ Roses - the biggest rock band in the world, at the height of their fame and notoriety - directing a series of extravagant videos that still spark debate today. The spectacular series of promos for the band's double album Use Your Illusion I & II included November Rain, a nine-minute epic that features Slash's iconic guitar solo in the desert - arguably the most iconic moment in all rock music videos.

Andy describes his crazy year with G N' R as "like Spinal Tap with money", and he gives TPP hosts David Knight and Rob Ulitski a rare taste of those wild days of big hair, big egos and big budgets. He also heads further back to how he began his career in London in the Eighties, making some of the best loved British videos of the era - including classics for George Michael and Pet Shop Boys.
