Nosisa Majuqwana joins Spindle as Head of Music + New Talent

Nosisa Majuqwana joins Spindle as Head of Music + New Talent

Promonews - 13th Oct 2021

Spindle have announced that Nosisa Majuqwana has joined the London-based production company as Head of Music + New Talent.

Before her arrival at Spindle, Majuqwana spent the last six years working as an award-winning agency producer with Engine, Karmarama and most recently VCCP, producing successful campaigns for the likes of Cadbury, Sky Cinema, Royal Marines and the British Army.

She is also a diversity and inclusion advocate, actively working towards improving representation in front of and behind the camera, and building a more inclusive industry. Her advocacy includes being on the jury for British Arrows Diversity Award in 2018, achieving a mentoring certificate through Creative Mentoring Network, and with her campaign Royal Air Force ‘Clichés’ that won the Channel 4 Diversity in Advertising award 2018/19, focusing on addressing advertising stereotypes of women.

With a background in music and desire to find and nurture the best new directors from the filmmaking landscape, Majuqwana will develop and grow these areas and help shape Spindle’s creative offering. Her arrival will continue their evolution within Music Video, after multiple nominations at the upcoming UKMVAs with Arlo Parks' Hope by Molly Burdett, Loyle Carner's Yesterday by The Coyle-Larner Brothers and Lava La Rue Magpie, by Spindle’s latest signing Milo Blake.

She will also build upon establishing music and culture-based brand partnerships, following Apple Music’s recent mixed-media experimental documentary for Rag’n’Bone Man, directed by Spindle founding partner, Greg Hackett.

"Spindle's company ethos has always stood out to me, and I'm honoured to become part of such a lovely, ambitious and dedicated team," says Majuqwana. "It's a really exciting time to join and I'm very much looking forward to building and expanding the creative talent, and playing a key role in Spindle's future."

Spindle founding partner and director Greg Hackett adds: "We’re over the moon to welcome Nosisa to the team. Her passion to lead our new talent and music videos division and her values perfectly compliment our vision for Spindle. We’re excited for what’s to come and we’re sure she will help us go from strength to strength as a company."
