UK Music Video Awards 2020: LEAP sponsors Best New Director at UKMVAs20 show on Nov 5th
LEAP are returning as a partner of the UK Music Video Awards this year, and have been announced as sponsors of the prestigious Best New Director award at this year's UKMVAs awards show on Thursday, November 5th.
The moving image team at LEAP have been working on the motion graphics and VFX for the upcoming ceremony - the UKMVAs' first virtual awards show - once again this year. They have been closely associated with the biggest night of the year for music videos since the UKMVAs started in 2008.
Formerly known as Locomotion and based in Soho, now as LEAP (or Love Europe & Partners) and based in a post boutique in the heart of Clerkenwell in London, the facility provide full-service production from creative development and filming, to editing, CGI, VFX, high-end finishing and grading through to delivery to media platforms. Their new facilities further extend their services to include green screen studio space, voice over recording and broadcast audio production.
LEAP’s motion graphics editors are now working closely with the UKMVAs’ event director Louise Stevens to create the video packages for nearly 40 categories, and animate the visual stings which will appear across the screens all night.
The UKMVAs ceremony takes place as a live virtual awards show on Thursday, November 5th at 7.30pm GMT, with technology bringing the awards presentation to a live audience, who will hearing the announcement of the winners as it happens; connecting with colleagues and contemporaries via the UKMVAs 'audience virtual wall' technology - and potentially being able to accept an award 'in person' during the show. To enjoy this year's UKMVAs, you are invited to grab a ticket - on sale individually or in a 'virtual table' of 10 - at the UK Music Video Awards website now.
“We are proud to have been the UKMVA’s post-production partner for more than ten years," says Danny Coster, Creative Director at LEAP. We always enjoy the creative collaboration with Louise Stevens, David Knight and the extended UKMVA team. As ever, we are looking forward to celebrating with the talented filmmakers working in music videos at this year’s awards. So we are delighted to be the sponsor of the Best New Director award, in this extraordinary year, and very special year for the UKMVAs.”
