Filmmaker and photographer Molly Burdett has signed to Spindle, joining the London-based production company's directors roster for   music videos and commercials in the UK.

The announcement follows Burdett's nomination at the UKMVAs 2020 for her music video for Arlo Parks' Black Dog, one of five music videos that she has directed for the talented British singer-songwriter. Burdett, adept at weaving emotional narratives with artist performances, has also just completed her second video for the Glaswegian soul singer Joesef, for Does It Make You Feel Good.

"I’m very excited to be joining Spindle," says Burdett. "Knowing that I have such a supportive team behind me will enable me to grow creatively and to develop further as a director. With Spindle’s fresh and passionate approach to filmmaking I know we can do amazing things together.

Spindle Managing Partner Miles Nathan adds: "Molly is a very special find. Truly. Her effortless, unique visual style, ambition and soulfulness are so rare, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her join us for the next chapter of her career. Her work with artists like Arlo
Parks and Joesef capture humanity at its rawest and most poetic. The sky is the limit for her; we’re so happy to help her develop her voice further with artists, agencies and brands."
