There is just over a day left until the entry deadline for the UK Music Video Awards 2020, on Friday, August 7th at midnight (BST). And among more than 35 categories, entries are being accepted to a number of prestigious awards that have recognises the scope of work being created in the visual sphere in the past year in the service of new music releases.

This group of awards also includes a one-off award that acknowledges the special circumstances of the past few months. The awards are: 

Best Live Video

Best Lockdown Video *THIS YEAR ONLY* 

Best Special Video Project

Best Music Film *NEW*

Find out more information about all the award categories on the categories page of the UKMVAs website. Then go to the enter now page of the website to enter a video in any of these categories, or in the Best Video, Technical Achievement, Individual and Company categories.

In each case the award is given for a body of work over the past year, from August 1st 2019 to July 31st 2020. All US-originated entries in the UKMVAs will also be automatically entered into the MVPA Awards. The final entry deadline to enter work is on Friday, August 7th at midnight, BST.  

The first round of judging for this year’s MVAs begins approximately a week after the entry deadline – invitations to Jury Members to participate in the online judging round on the MVA judging platform have been sent out in the past few days. A second round of judging will follow in early September.

And the UK Music Video Awards 2020 ceremony and aftershow party is currently scheduled to take place for the fifth time at the legendary Roundhouse in London on Thursday, October 29th 2020. More information on the plans for the event in the coming weeks.
