Top music video production company Luti Media are set to produce a six-part comedy series for UK youth channel E4, written by and starring O-T Fagbenle, and produced by his brother Luti Fagbenle.

The comedy series Maxxx centres around a formerly famous boyband star turned drug-shamed tabloid victim who is trying to make a comeback to prove his worth to the world - particularly his famous popstar ex-girlfriend. Following his role in the internationally successful and award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale, O-T Fagbenle has created, stars in and will also direct Maxxx. 

The show began life as a three-part webseries for All 4, Channel 4's catch-up service. Now commissioned for E4, it's the first longform comedy series produced for TV by Luti Media, the company founded by MD Luti Fagbenle, producer of music videos and content for the likes of Drake, Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Zayn. Shooting begins in late May, with episodes to be broadcast early next year.

Fiona McDermott, head of comedy at Channel 4, who commissioned the show with commissioning editor Rachel Springett, says: "O-T Fagbenle's new comedy Maxxx is smart, rude, shameless and funny as hell. In a social media obsessed world where celebrity is the only currency that really counts, Maxxx is a former-insider exiled to wrong side of the velvet rope.  It’s brilliantly perceptive and we can’t wait to bring it to E4."
