The first Shiny Awards, supporting the creativity of up and coming and unsigned directors, takes place in February, and the deadline to enter work is coming up at the end of December.

The Shiny Awards celebrate music video and shortform work (under 5 minutes) from emerging filmmakers and the people who commission them. The seven categories include ‘Best Unsigned Director’ and ‘Best Newly Signed/Employed Director’. Unusually, every single entry gets written feedback from at least five industry professionals.

Winners will be awarded at the invite-only, industry event attended by commissioners and marketers, agencies and trade press at The MIll in London on 22nd February.

It's simple to enter work at the Shiny Awards - but you must be unsigned by a production company or rep, or signed for less than a year. Enter work here by December 30th 2017.
