Caviar sign Henry Scholfield
David Knight - 3rd Oct 2013
Henry Scholfield, director of smartly conceptual pop videos for the likes of Professor Green, Will Young, Aluna George and others, has joined Caviar for worldwide representation for music videos and commercials.Â
Scholfield's move to Caviar after several years represented by Partizan comes with his increasing presence in commercials, working for high profile clients such as Bacardi, Converse and Monoprix, and making engaging short documentary pieces for Sure/Rexona, following the lives of three breakdancers.
Starting out as an animation producer at Partizan, Henry made his breakthrough as a director with engaging videos for Example and Professor Green in the early stages of their careers, which proved to be the beginning of a fruitful relationship with Pro Green in particular - he went on to direct the successful videos for Need You Tonight, Just Be Good To Green, Monster and Read All About It (with Emeli Sandé), and more.Â
With awards and nominations at the UK Music Video Awards under his belt - his Will Young video for Losing Myself won best choreography at the MVAs in 2012, and his Aluna George video for Your Drums, Your Love (pictured) is nominated this year – the move comes after videos this year for Pro Green's Are You Getting Enough, Wretch 32's Doing OK, and his latest for Dizzee Rascal's Something Really Bad, featuring Will I Am.Â
Anna Smith, EP at Caviar London says: “We are over the moon by the signing of Henry Scholfield to our roster! His work demonstrates a seamless mix of emotion, technical prowess and overarching gloss, and his attention to detail in aspects such as choreography, gritty sports work, and performance puts him in an extremely strong position in the market today. We are honoured to have him on board!"
