Luc Janin, Jean Pierre Philippot and David M Helman join Pulse Films

David Knight - 27th Sept 2013

Pulse Films have announced the signing of three new directors to it's roster: Jean Pierre Philippot and Luc Janin, and David M Helman.

Luc Janin is a French director who has been based in London for a number of years. Luc began his career working as a graffiti artist and illustrator, and his innovative work across film, commercials and music videos has seen him collaborate with brands like Pepsi, Samsung, Vodaphone, X Box, BBC and MTV. He has also directed videos for the likes of Stereophonics, James Blunt, Fratellis and Julian Perretta.

Jean Pierre Philippot's bold approach has led him to work with clients such as L'Oreal, Marks & Spencer, Kenzo, Suzuki and Cartier. Having already helmed global rebrands for companies like Fructis and Maybelline, he's also worked some of the biggest names in entertainment including Jennifer Lopez, Mila Jovovich, Gerard Butler, Claudia Schiffer and Eva Longoria to name a few.

David M Helman is a fast rising music video and short film director who has produced innovative visuals for critically acclaimed musicians Blu & Flying Lotus, Joey Bada$$ and most recently PMR Records signed producer T.Williams - just featured on Promo News.

Born and raised in Southern California in 1988, David Helman began making films at the age of 17. The experimental style which he began developing shortly after graduating college is often influenced by his environment and formative years. His first music video 'Doingnothin'" for critically acclaimed Los Angeles rapper Blu and influential producer Flying Lotus was nominated for Best International Urban Video at the UKMVA's in 2012.

In the same year his work with fast rising New York artist Joey Bada$$ was featured on leading music platforms like Noisey, FACT and Pitchfork. In 2013 David directed a short film in association with Mainline's TRIBUTE series called 'Lily', the piece demonstrated his directorial edge and strength for telling real human stories.
