Caviar sign Jam Sutton and Emile Rafael

Caviar sign Jam Sutton and Emile Rafael

David Knight - 8th Aug 2013

Caviar has signed multi-talented photographer, visual artist and fashion designer Jam Sutton for the UK and US for music videos and commercials.

The announcement comes shortly following the announcement of up-and-coming director Emile Rafale also joining Caviar for music videos in the UK.

Jam has recently made his mark across film and print campaigns for leading artists such as Pharrell Williams, Azealia Banks and Steve Aoki - particularly raising his profile with his extraordinary video for Azealia Banks; Yung Rapunxel. He has previously gained recognition from prestigious award ceremonies including the Adobe Design Achievement Awards and the D&AD Student Awards.

“We are all very excited to be working with the amazingly talented Jam Sutton,” says Sorcha Shepherd EP of Caviar London. “The first time I watched his incredible Yung Rapunxel promo for Azealia Banks, I was completely transfixed by his fresh approach to utilizing mixed media to full effect. It was a complete sensory overload and I loved it!"

Alongside his film & photography, Sutton also runs the fashion label ‘This Is Not Clothing’ which is stocked in Harvey Nichols. See the Jam Sutton showreel here

Meanwhile, London-based Emile Rafael has also joined Caviar, following his impressive early steps as a music video director with promos for Saturday, Monday's Headshake and Katy B's Get Paid. Emile studied Economics and Media at the University of New York in Prague before moving to the UK to attend the London Film School for his MA.

Anna Smith EP at Caviar London says: "Whilst on the hunt for an up and coming director, we came across Emile's body of work and were struck by the raw talent and emotional sensibility crafted by a someone so early on in their career. His work to date is a sure sign of his future potential with the right guidance and support. We have high hopes for him in both music videos and eventually onto commercials."

He has already made his first video at Caviar, the surreal, atmospheric and beautifully photographed promo for One Little Indian band Stubborn Heart's Penetrate.
