Sandstorm and Loadstar collaborate on Passenger video shot at Dairy Studios

David Knight - 27th June 2012

The Bristol based electronic production duo Loadstar have just released their new single Passenger on Ram Records, with a video to accompany this heavy hitting drum step floor-filler that comes from the band's second collaboration with production company Sandstorm, and shot at Sandstorm's new studio facility based in the Marlborough Downs between London and Bristol, Dairy Studios.

This isn't the first time that Loadstar and Sandstorm have crossed paths. At the beginning of 2011 Sandstorm teamed up to create the video for Loadstar's 'Space Between' and they've re-grouped for this surreal visual journey through outer space in a rocket ship flown by 10 year olds, while being chased by a giant flying dinosaur. Shortly after the release of Space Between a conversation occurred between band and production company and the idea of making a retro sci fi promo set in a spaceships was pitched soon after. When Gav & Nick from Loadstar came on board with the idea, Sandstorm began to build the set on Stage 2 at Dairy Studios. Directed by 'Spritz', the resulting film is a pyrotechnical retro homage to old school sci-fi adventures, with set and props largely made from hard-board and egg crates, just as it should be. http://www.youtube.com/watchv=LsPsxk0oRdQ
