Our playlist of the best performance videos of 2016... this is where we list the best (or our favourite) pop videos then? Well, yes and no.
This part of our review of the year is certainly about great charismatic pop performances, and plenty of big pop stars are here, like of course, Beyoncé (above). It's also about great dance performance too – Beyoncé again, and more than a few others. If anything this year there has been even more of that this year.
It's also about rock performances, and other (non-pop) musicians captured doing what they do best - even, as with Nick Cave, in the wake of tragedy. And in the case of David Bowie, from nearly 12 months ago, an extraordinary farewell performance...
