Alex Taylor's video for King No One is a stylised protest video with a Soviet twist.
Contrasting heavily between two opposing sides – the oppressors and the protestors – Taylor uses colour, black & white and contrasting lighting to evoke the duality of past regimes. A great aesthetic awareness shines through in the video, with considered, composed performances from the band.
From the director
"For this modern day protest song we looked to visual examples of past regimes to draw parallels of oppression and resistance across history. Borrowing heavily from Swedish arthouse film and Soviet Constructivism we were able to paint the band at both ends of the political spectrum - from dictators to protestors - in a fight of the colour of freedom against stifling black and white."
