Moderat 'Eating Hooks' by Måns Nyman & Pfadfinderei
Cat Velez - 17th Oct 2016
After a pair of highly entertaining, nicely executed music videos for Nause's The World I Know and Timbuktu's Annie Leibovitz last year, Måns Nyman has honed in on a modern, digital reworking of a dance performance video, layering elegant yet frenetic symbols and glitch effects playing off of dancer Rauf Yasit's contorted movements.
It's an experimental and cryptic visual accompaniment to Eating Hooks by Moderat, a three-piece electronic band based in Berlin - capturing an interplay between purposeful, out-of-joint choreography in dazzlingly ornate costume and the plasmic movement of fluctuating symbols.
