UK Music Video Awards 2017: four days left to enter - including the Technical Achievement awards

There’s just over four days left from today (August 3rd) to enter work into the UK Music Video Awards 2018 – the premiere awards show for music video creativity in Britain and beyond, and the big party of the year for UK music videos.

This includes the eight Technical Achievement awards which will honour the creativity and technical prowess of individuals working on a specific music video, celebrating the art and craft on show in specific departments. Here are the categories:

Best Animation in a video

Best Cinematography in a video

Best Choreography in a video

Best Colour Grade in a video

Best Editing in a video

Best Production Design in a video

Best Styling in a video

Best Visual Effects in a video

Each entered video must have been completed and delivered to the commissioning company between August 1st 2017 and July 31st 2018.

Find out more information about all the award categories on the categories page of the UKMVAs website. Then go to the enter now page of the website to enter a video in any of these categories, or in the Best Video, Interactive, Live, Individual and Company categories. The cost is £75 + VAT per video per category, and the final entry deadline to enter work is next Tuesday, August 7th at midnight BST.

The first round of judging for this year’s MVAs begins approximately a week after the entry deadline – invitations to Jury Members to participate in the online judging round on the MVA judging platform have been sent out in the past few days. A second round of judging will follow in early September.

The UK Music Video Awards 2018 ceremony and aftershow party takes place for the fourth year running at the legendary Roundhouse in London on Thursday, October 25th 2018. Information about tickets for the show are coming soon.
